a little bit about me
i’m sufficiently old-school that i think all blogs need to have an “about” page. it’s the first place i look. but that doesn’t mean i’m good at writing them.
i grew up in scotland, new zealand and brazil. i lived in london for over 10 years and am now back in wellington. i prefer to think of my accent as “mid-pacific”.
i am a journalist. this is a perfect fit with my insatiable curiosity and short attention span. i daydream about wild black sand beaches and going back to live in brazil.
a few of the things i love: heliotropes, a killer caipirinha, my nikon 50mm lens, studio ghibli, roast chicken, haruki murakami, seamed fishnet stockings and andre kertesz.
on my ipod, you’ll find shoegazy indie, random electro stuff, brazilian punk, bill withers live at carnegie hall and lots of hip-hop. and in my wardrobe: vintage dresses, blazers and skinny jeans, and many pairs of metallic shoes.
